Ho Chi Minh former name was Sai Gon. Long time ago many tourists viewed it as “a pearl of the far East”, which may reveals its splendid beauty. Its current name is an expression of great commemoration of Ho Chi Minh Uncle, who was the leader of the nation.
It consists of 18 districts, namely: District 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,11,12, Thu Duc, Thu Thiem, Go Vap, Binh Thanh, Binh Chanh, Binh Tan.
For the time being, HCMC is considered to be one of the most dynamic areas of the country – a social, cultural and economic center of the South. Normally, when tourists come to HCMC, they may enjoy staying in luxurious hotels, buying things as gifts and souvenirs at shopping centers, especially in districts 1 and 3. Window-shopping is sort of fun but bargaining is necessary.
