I. Definition
E-visa (Electronic Visa) is a type of electronic visa allowed by the Vietnam Immigration Department since 2017. It is a suitable visa for international tourists because an E-visa only allows entry into Vietnam once in 30 days.
Note:
- Foreigners can enter Vietnam once every 30 days with an E-Visa (single entry in 01 months).
- E-Visa is exclusively used for tourism purposes; it is not utilized for anything else.
II. E-visa Requirements
- Passport that is valid for at least 06 months after the arrival date and has at least two blank pages
- 01 passport-size photo
- Soft copies of the passport’s information page and soft photo
- Credit cards are allowed for online payment of the e-visa fee (American Express card is not accepted).
III. Processing time and Fees
- Processing time: About 03 working days (the time might be affected due to the holidays or the numerous applicants
- Fees: 25 USD per person
Note: This money is not refundable in case your application is denied or your visa letter contains incorrect information as if you provided incorrect information on the application form.

Frequently Asked Questions
You can apply for the visa approval letter at any time convenient for you, but it should be at least 3 working days (for tourist visa) or 7 working days (business visa) to avoid emergency fees. For example, if you are planning a trip to Vietnam in February 2020, you can apply for the letter right now. Your visa approval letter becomes valid from your granted arrival date, not from your date of application or the date of issuing your letter.
